Entering
Cornwall by the A30
Arriving at a large
roundabout, recognisable by the windmills close by, take the
left hand turn signed to Truro.
Travel along this
road for 5 miles until you reach the traffic lights at the end.
Take the left hand
slip road signed to St. Austell. This road winds downhill. Soon
you will pass a drive-through lay-by on your left and then a
thatched house on the righthand side.
At this point put
on your left winker and begin to slow down because you must take
the next turning on the left.
The track is opposite
a lay-by and disappears into trees. There is a large sign.
Approaching Truro
from St. Austell
You will travel through
the village of Tresillian, past a thatched pub called The Wheel
Inn and a large car dealers (Carry) on the left- hand side.
As you begin to leave
the village the road steadily bends to the right. You pass Polsue
Manor Farm on the right and immediately after this you will see
our track disappearing into the trees, also on the right.
It is directly opposite
a lay-by and there is a large sign. If you start winding uphill
out of the village you have gone too far.

Approaching
Tresillian from Truro
Leave Truro on the
main road to St. Austell.
This road goes uphill
steadily. There are three sets of traffic lights and you must
go straight across them all. At the third set of traffic lights
there is a turning left to Newquay. Carry straight on, on the
St. Austell road.
This road winds downhill.
Soon you will pass a drive- through lay-by on your left and then
a thatched house on the right-hand side.
At this point put"on
your left winker and begin to slow down because you must take
the next turning on the left.
The track to our farm
is opposite a lay-by and disappears into trees. There is a large
sign.
Our
Track
The track is unmade
so you will need to travel quite slowly.
It continues for 3/4
mile mainly through trees but emerges at the top into more open
farmland.
There is a sharp right-hand
bend by a quarry towards the top.
Carry on round until
you arrive at the farm house at the top. The barn is situated
behind the house separated by a yard. You can pull up in the
yard in front of the barn to unload your luggage.
There is a large parking
area around the back where you can leave the car safely at night.
