VAT

VAT is added at the current UK rate to orders to the UK.

The UK left the EU on the 31 December 2020. All goods supplied now outside the UK will be zero rated. No VAT will be added. A customs declaration form (CN22 or CN23) will be fixed to the outside of the package.

Customs clearance charges and fees may be payable on items/goods (excluding personal correspondence) entering the destination country including  the EU from the UK. These depend on the contents’ value. You will need to decide how the recipient will pay these as the parcel won’t be released until payment has been received.

Increase in the standard rate of VAT to 20 per cent.

Prices shown on the website are shown at the new rate from the previous 17.5% rate - If the VAT header is shown in red, these prices have been changed. You will be charged at the rate in force when you place your order.

Deliveries to countries outside the EEC do not get VAT added.

How to order
We do not accept any card transactions over the telephone or have a secure connection on our web site.
How to PAY If you wish to order anything just choose your Method of Payment and send us an email, listing the item(s) you are interested in and your contact telephone number (for the delivery company should you place an order) or pick up the phone and tell us that information. we will either  send you a pro-forma invoice listing these items to pay against with on-line banking or BACS or issue a PayPal invoice via email to pay us via PayPal. Your Rakewell invoice will be sent with the goods you have ordered. We may make this facility available on our web site in the future. These instructions will be updated when this happens.

Method of Payment NOTE: You do not  have to have a PayPal account to use this service, they only act as a collecting agency. You use your credit or debit card as before. We have opened a PayPal account for payment, as the Bank were going to impose further costs to us to comply with a new standard (PCI DSS) for accepting credit cards.
